How to Shoot a Longbow

From silencers to sights, arrows to strings, there seems to be a lot to learn about the new weapon you have acquired. While bowhunting is an invigorating, if not frustrating sport, it is also a survival tactic that may come in to play at some point in your life. If not for survival, you will most likely want to hunt, and you need to know how to shoot this thing before you can do that.

Longbow Archery

For hundreds of years, archery has been in play and has been used for hunting, competition and has more recently become a precision sport. As a gun is a weapon of convenience, the longbow is a weapon of artistic knowledge. With a little practice and determination, you just might be a master archer.

Traditional Archery Equipment

If you have recently taken up archery, you know that it is a disease that eats you from the inside out and leaves you with no turning back. But do you know what's next? Your first decision should be whether you want a longbow or a recurve.

Traditional Archery Supply

If you have gone to a store or website in search of traditional archery supplies, you are probably either overwhelmed or frustrated, or both. Depending on where you live, it may seem impossible to find the supplies you need. So you go online, where there's an abundance of material. What do you do? What do you need?

Bow Strings

When buying bowstrings, a consumer must be vigilant and researched because this is the part of the weapon that will make the arrow fly at a specific speed. The bowstring is specifically designed to make the arrow go a certain distance based on several conditions.

Bow Sights

You have decided on taking up archery because well, it can't be that hard, there are sights and everything, right? Wrong. Bow sights are only an aid, the actual accuracy is based on you practicing proper form and using the proper equipment. If you're doing this, bow sights can be helpful.
